Margaret Rinkevich

Margaret Rinkevich is a dedicated artist and art historian with a B.A. in Art History from the University of Arizona, where she specialized in Italian Renaissance art. She has taught art history at the university level, contributed to museum docent education, and has written extensively on tribal art and culture.

Margaret's career includes archaeological work in Umbria, Italy, and research for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, where she focused on African tribal art. She has also authored publications on various tribal art topics, including a notable article on Eskimo snow goggles for TRIBAL Magazine.

Now based in Telluride, CO, Margaret has exhibited her work locally, including a solo show titled BLUE at Gallery 81435. She opened Rinkevich Gallery in 2018, where she showcases her abstract paintings and tribal sculpture. With over 20 years of painting and collecting tribal art, Margaret’s work reflects the profound influence of tribal art on Modernist movements and her appreciation for the interplay of abstract expressionism and tribal aesthetics. Her work is held in numerous private collections across the United States.

Ingrid Oliphant

Ingrid Oliphant is a savant artist whose creative journey began unexpectedly in 2022, echoing her earlier awakening to the capacity to heal through touch in 2009. Drawing from her work as a shaman, Ingrid channels what she calls the "Language of Creation" into her paintings, offering viewers a deeply mystical and multi-sensory experience.

Her works are known to evoke feelings of peace and wonder, with some sensitive viewers even reporting physical sensations, emotional shifts, or connections to ancient stories and the energies of the land and water. Each piece evolves organically, shaped by the energies within and around her, emitting a unique sensory rhythm and tone.

Sari Levy

Sari Levy lives in Telluride with her husband and son. She has been making art since 1999. Known for her exploration of form and color, Sari's subjects range from children to those in the later stages of life. She works with a diverse array of materials, including oils, acrylics, oil pastels, graphite, and more, creating thought-provoking pieces on wood, paper, and canvas. Her portraits offer a deep reflection on the human experience and the passage of time.

Sarah Lewiecki

Sarah Lewiecki creates oil paintings in a multitude of unique forms that incorporate her distinct lexicon of symbols and iconography. Her work fuses beauty with wretchedness in order to reveal their harmony. She brings a variety of mediums into her practice as a painter, including the traditionally male dominated craft of woodworking, masonry, and ironworking. Lewiecki has recently exhibited work at the Torrance Art Museum in Torrance, CA, Below Grand Gallery in New York, NY, Telluride Arts, Telluride, CO and at the Silver Bell Mine in Ophir, CO. The artist lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, and Telluride, CO.

Karen Kokjer

Karen Kokjer has been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, where early exposure to art included classes at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City and inspiring art teachers throughout her education. While minoring in painting and graphics in college, she also majored in Chemistry, balancing her artistic creativity with technical expertise.

Her professional journey began with designing packaging, manuals, and advertising materials for a computer company, as well as posters for Denver music venues and game boards for inventors. She later became an Art Director for May D & F department stores, refining her skills in graphic design and creative direction.

In 1992, Karen relocated to Telluride and quickly became an integral part of the local art scene, working in graphic design for the Telluride Times Journal and renting studio space at the Ah Haa School for the Arts, where she also taught for many years. Her work has been exhibited in various locations in town, showcasing her versatility across mediums and styles.

Now based in Montrose, Karen continues to push creative boundaries, exploring diverse subjects and techniques. Her work reflects her joy in artistic expression and her gratitude to collectors and supporters who inspire her to keep creating.

Joanie Schwarz

Joanie has been known in the publishing world for over 25 years, for portraiture as well as fine art. Creating art and clothing that is imbued with unconditional love brings her life meaning. Her work has been on the covers of Time, Us News and World Report, NY Times Magazine and the LA Times. She now splits her time between Westfield, NJ and Telluride, CO, where she owns Atelier. Located at 215 East Colorado Ave in Telluride, she is creating art and contemplating the magic of life on planet Earth.

Daniel Kanow

Daniel Kanow is a visual and kinetic artist based in Telluride. Known for his dynamic and contemplative landscapes and abstractions, Kanow employs a wide range of mediums including acrylics, oils, canvas, wood, plexiglass, and unconventional tools. His creative process is deeply influenced by Asian philosophical and spiritual concepts, exploring themes of detachment, impermanence, creation and destruction, and the beauty of imperfection.

Andrew Dines

Andrew Dines explores themes of progress and power through his paintings and multimedia works, focusing on landscapes and infrastructure in states of transformation. Using techniques like oxidation, pale washes, and textured surfaces, his work reflects the fragility and contradictions of human development, inviting contemplation of both decay and renewal.

Andrew earned an MFA from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a BA from Middlebury College. He has received awards such as the Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Exchange Emerging Artist Award and the Creative Spirit Award. His work is held in private and public collections and has been exhibited nationally. Andrew lives and works in southwest Colorado.

Jesse Crock

Jesse Crock is a Colorado-based artist with a love of cycling, flyfishing, and the outdoors. The rich color and sharp contrast of his acrylic paintings attempt to capture the vibrant Colorado landscape of the places he

travels. Jesse is an art teacher who finds that he often connects his work with the playfulness of his students and is inspired by the energy they bring to the classroom. As an outdoor enthusiast, he brings the viewer’s eye to places that are not often painted. He was awarded first place in painting at the Golden Fine Arts in 2023 and has created several large outdoor murals for the Mountain Toad Brewery, Golden Moon Distillery, Vital Outdoors, and the Trailhead Taphouse. He has worked with the Colorado Mountain Club on various projects; including two adult coloring books and a mural for their office. You can view more of his work at the Mountain Toad Brewery.

In Buena Vista, he created numerous paintings for beer labels for the Eddyline Brewery. He exhibits his work at their restaurant and at their tap room where you can see his murals.
