Margaret Rinkevich is a dedicated artist and art historian with a B.A. in Art History from the University of Arizona, where she specialized in Italian Renaissance art. She has taught art history at the university level, contributed to museum docent education, and has written extensively on tribal art and culture.

Margaret's career includes archaeological work in Umbria, Italy, and research for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, where she focused on African tribal art. She has also authored publications on various tribal art topics, including a notable article on Eskimo snow goggles for TRIBAL Magazine.

Now based in Telluride, CO, Margaret has exhibited her work locally, including a solo show titled BLUE at Gallery 81435. She opened Rinkevich Gallery in 2018, where she showcases her abstract paintings and tribal sculpture. With over 20 years of painting and collecting tribal art, Margaret’s work reflects the profound influence of tribal art on Modernist movements and her appreciation for the interplay of abstract expressionism and tribal aesthetics. Her work is held in numerous private collections across the United States.
