Doris Tinsley Nadel's artistic journey began in childhood, painting landscapes, flowers, and animals in oils on canvas, earning awards for her work. She pursued her passion for art in college, studying architecture, art history, figure drawing, watercolor painting, commercial art, marketing, and business. While building a professional career in marketing and sales, Doris continued painting in her spare time.

In 1995, while working at the internet start-up Broadcast.com, she was inspired by the creative tech environment and began exploring minimalist abstract styles in acrylic on canvas. During the early 2000s, Doris worked with children at the Crossroads Interfaith Housing Program, a domestic violence organization, where art became a tool to help build self-esteem and confidence. She curated an art exhibition featuring the children’s art alongside her own, which was showcased on ABC News in the feature “Artist and Pint-Size Picassos.”

Doris has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions, business lobbies, corporate offices, hotels, art fairs, and curated her own exhibitions. Having recently left her professional business career, Doris is now fully dedicated to her art, expanding her acrylic series, developing new collections, and experimenting with mediums such as colored pencil, digital drawing, and video.
